Yria Technical SA was established in Athens in 2002 and in the last few years it has had a dynamic presence in infrastructure construction with an eco-friendly character. We undertook the reinvention of the company’s logo and the design of a new website.
The previous logo included a sketch of the Portara, or the Great Door, of the island of Naxos created around the ‘I’ in ‘Yria’.
Portara was chosen for its symbolic significance as the company did business in the island of Naxos when it was founded and, since then, have been doing a lot of construction work in the region of the Cyclades.
Our goal was to keep some of the elements from the old logo as well as its blue colour but to essentially renew the logo making it more modern and visually pleasing.
Try-outs: Phase A
We combined the ‘Y’ from the word ‘Yria’ with three colours, representing the environment, construction and water, and the Greek letter ‘Π’ standing for the Portara of Naxos.
The new Yria logo
The new logo is solid but also modern borrowing elements from the old logo yet presenting something completely fresh to reinvent the company’s image.
Below you may see several forms of the logo, certain variations on it as well as some of its applications.
The company’s website presents the company’s work as divided into two main categories, namely public and private.
The company has undertaken a large volume of work for the public sector.
One may browse this under various categories such as Construction, Environmental, Water Engineering, Road Construction or Redevelopment.
The website also includes the company’s profile, news and contact information.
